We made history this week, saying for the first time that people have a right to not be destroyed by sickness.

It wasn't easy. Overcoming roadblocks and obstruction to pass critical legislation in the Senate takes tremendous effort.

That's why I'm throwing my support behind Kendrick Meek, because I know he can handle the long hours and tough fights that are facts of life for a U.S. Senator. Kendrick has proven that he's got the energy and determination to accomplish great things as Florida's representative in Washington.
