District 4 is located in the northeastern corner of Miami-Dade County. The boundaries start at the countyline and extend south along the oceanfront to Miami Beach. The 13 cities that comprise this district include Golden Beach, Aventura, North Miami Beach, North Miami, Sunny Isles Beach, Surfside, Bal Harbour, Bay Harbor Islands, Biscayne Park, Indian Creek, Miami Beach, Miami Shores and North Bay Village.

Miami-Dade's fireboat fleet protects lives and property - Miami-Dade's miles of beaches and waterways pose a special challenge to firefighters. A fleet of fireboats makes it possible for Miami-Dade Fire-Rescue to save lives and protect property on and near the water.

District Four Commissioner Sally Heyman has been instrumental in building the fireboat fleet. She visits County Connection to tell Host Griselle Marino about Miami-Dade's fireboats.
