Greetings and welcome to the District 3. I am honored to have been elected as your commissioner, representing the diverse communities of the City of Miami - including Liberty City, Little Haiti, Overtown, the Upper East Side, Allapattah, and Wynwood - as well as the Village of El Portal, Miami Shores Village, and parts of the City of North Miami. I hope you will take the time to explore my website and discover what's new in District 3 and Miami-Dade County. I urge you to share your concerns and ideas with me. - Surrounded by constituents, Commissioner Audrey Edmonson
delivered the State of the District address at the Adrienne Arsht Performing Arts Center, located in District 3. Commissioner Edmonson thanked her constituents and emphasized
that “any progress, whether great or small, that has been made in District 3 would not be possible” without the hard work of her constituents.
- Commissioner Audrey M. Edmonson invites Miami-Dade County residents to celebrate the unveiling of the fully restored 1959 Coppertone Girl sign in District 3 on December 2, 2008 at 7300 Biscayne Boulevard.
- The installation of Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Alvarez, Chairman Bruno A. Barreiro and Members of the Board of County Commissioners took place at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County.
- Commissioner Audrey M. Edmonson marched with some of Miami-Dade County’s smallest pedestrians – the students of Miami Shores Elementary – on Wednesday, October 8 to promote the WalkSafe and International Walk to School Day programs.
- Commissioner Audrey M. Edmonson and the Miami Heat joined forces on Sunday, October 5 at the team’s first pre-season game at American Airlines Arena to collect goods for Caribbean nations severely affected by devastating storms this hurricane season.
- Commissioner Audrey M. Edmonson was a guest of honor at the grand opening of the new Borinquen Behavioral Health Resource Center in District 3 on August 13.
- Commissioner Audrey M. Edmonson addressed the disturbing trend of high black infant mortality rates in Miami-Dade County at a town hall meeting at the African Cultural Arts Center on July 16.
