District 12 encompasses an area of western Miami-Dade County between SW 8th Street and NW 202nd Street, west of Hialeah. It includes the City of DoralHialeah, Hialeah Gardens, Medley, Sweetwater, and Virginia Gardens, as well as a large part of unincorporated Miami-Dade County.

Voters in District 12 first elected José "Pepe" Diaz to the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners in September 2002. Commissioner Diaz was reelected without opposition in September 2006.

Rolle, Katy Sorenson and Jose “Pepe” Diaz were right there with them to present a proclamation to the event organizers declaring it “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Day.”

Are you 60 years old and have no prescription drug coverage? Then the Florida Discount Drug Card might be for you.

This program is designed to lower the cost of virtually all prescriptions for Florida residents. Residents must be 60 years or older without any prescription drug coverage or those who fall into the Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage Gap. Residents who are 60 years and younger are eligible to enroll if they are also without prescription drug coverage and if they have a annual family income of less than 300% of the Federal Poverty Level.
