Regalado's first time run for public office on September 3, 1996, resulted in him being elected city commissioner.

Tomas Regalado, radio and TV personality for the past 30 years, is one of the most important voices for the South Florida Hispanic community. He has been in touch with people in Miami and knows the needs, the problems, and hopes of all communities within the city. As a member of The White House Press Corps, Regalado has visited 62 countries in the world and supports the efforts to make Miami an international world trade center.
