Bush to grant temporary protected status to Haitians in the United States.
- Monday - March 17, 2008 - During the City of Miami Commission Meeting on Thursday, March 13, 2008, City Commission Chairman Joe Sanchez urged the City of Miami Administration to adopt legislation protecting dogs from being cruelly tethered. “These innocent animals are being tied up and abandoned without water, food, shelter and exposed to harsh weather conditions. We must take action, and stop this practice,” stated Commissioner Sanchez.
