Bush to grant temporary protected status to Haitians in the United States.

Commissioner Joe Sanchez Urges City to Adopt Tether Ban - Monday - March 17, 2008 - During the City of Miami Commission Meeting on Thursday, March 13, 2008, City Commission Chairman Joe Sanchez urged the City of Miami Administration to adopt legislation protecting dogs from being cruelly tethered.  “These innocent animals are being tied up and abandoned without water, food, shelter and exposed to harsh weather conditions.  We must take action, and stop this practice,” stated Commissioner Sanchez.


Commissioner Joe Sanchez to Join Critical Mass on Bike Ride throughout Miami - Friday, April 11, 2008 - (Miami, FL.)-  Join Commissioner Joe Sanchez and Critical Mass at Miami City Hall on Saturday, April 12th, 2008 at 11:00am for a 3 hour bike ride which will end at 2:00pm at Jose Marti Park as part of the Miami River Day festivities.  Commissioner Sanchez and many bicycle enthusiasts are using this opportunity to promote their commitment to the use of environment- friendly forms transportation, and to the increase of bicycles lanes throughout the city.
